What’s Covered?
Embrace offers a single plan to cover your dog or cat against unexpected accidents and illnesses. They offer the opportunity for you to personalize your coverage. You can choose your annual maximum for reimbursement (a lifetime payout maximum of $50,000 is available), deductible, and reimbursement percentage. Regardless, of the details of your personalize policy the coverage your pet receives will include:
- Breed-specific conditions
- Cancer treatment
- Diagnostic testing and imaging (e.g. X-ray, ultrasound, MRI)
- Surgery, hospitalization, and nursing care
- Alternative therapies and rehabilitation
- ER & specialist care
- Prescription Drug Coverage (optional)
Routine care/Wellness coverage is also available via their “Wellness Rewards” program. This program is meant to provide coverage for items like annual checkups, spay/neuter procedures, vaccines, heartworm medications, teeth cleaning, etc.
What’s Not Covered?
- All pre-existing conditions
- Prescription medications unless rider is purchased
- All dental diseases (only treatments resulting from accidental trauma or dental injuries are covered)
- Services performed by a veterinarian for his/her own cat or dog
- Treatment arising from any pre-existing behavioral problems. For example, if a dog had a habit of eating rocks or other foreign objects before he was insured, foreign object ingestion may not be covered.
- Treatment for any injury or illness caused by the aggressive actions of another animal in your household
